Shortly after her completion of a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno, Shakel went on to begin a career in corporate accounting at a notable Fortune 500 organization. There she had the pleasure of gaining an array of valuable work experience and promotions, all of which serves as the foundation to the strong analytical, organizational, and strategic skills that she leverages today to serve her clientele. During her tenure at said organization, Shakel earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, which led to an enhancement in her managerial knowledge and professional endeavors.
Shakel’s passion for finance/accounting began with her love for mathematics and grew to interest in educating people to reach their own version of financial fortitude. Now as a highly experienced Fractional CFO and Personal Finance Coach, Shakel has the experience to generate thought-provoking conversations and intentional, financially empowering behaviors. In addition, she leans on her vibrant personality to translate some of the complex theories involved with finance to her audience through the FINsights blog.
